Quick Summary (Spoiler-Free!)
London Bad Boy Cillian Cairney is the new guy on the college team, and in America. Trying to patch up his future Rugby career this season makes it the most important year he’s had if he wants to make it professionally. But his new team mates won't make it easy for him.
Rory St. James the coaches daughter as a problem and it's a boy problem, and she has no idea how to talk to any guy besides the guys on the team but she only sees all of them in a brotherly way. That means she automatically always is being friend zoned and it is getting old and she needs to fix it.
Enter the you teach me, I’ll teach you, new found friendship/agreement between Cillian and Rory. He will teach her how to date and flirt with guys, and she will teach him how to get along with the team. Deal?
What I Loved:
💕Favorite element #1 The banter is great between Cillian and Rory ( The twister being my favorite scene.
💕Favorite element #2.I love how many emotions were put into this, we see it both with Rory and Cillian. But Cillian had so many deep emotions.
💕Favorite element #3 Actual communication with the main characters!
Final Thoughts:
I loved this book. My first rugby romance! After reading so many Hockey romances, it’s nice to read something new. While I loved that Cillian is a “bad boy” type, I loved more that he has many layers to him. Not just your typical “ I'm bad so I do whatever I want” vibe. He loves and cares about those who mean something to him and that's awesome to see in a character.
The spice was THERE for me. While it was not dripping with it, I found myself blushing here and there. I gave it a 3 chilli peppers out of 5. So yes it has spicy scenes but it was not the plot or purpose of the book and it was fantastic.
I really enjoyed the writing style from Maren Moore and will in fact be picking up this book as a book trophy and any of her other books she has put out or plans on releasing. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance book, or wanting that feeling of 2000’s rom-com movie vibes. 💕
