🎃☀️ My Summerween Readathon TBR 🌞👻
It’s almost time! 👻 Who says you have to wait until October to read spooky scary books? Not me!! This year, I have picked some simple yet thrilling reads for the Summerween Readathon that is put on by @gabbyreads on YouTube. She puts on this week-long readathon every year (along with a few others) and every year it’s a blast. This year its happening for 8 days, July 5th-July 12th!
Here’s what’s on my Summerween Readathon list:
👻 1. Goosebumps SlappyWorld #1 by R.L Stine
It’s small, but still able to give you that fright that you crave for summerween! Goosebumps should be a house staple for anyone with young readers who just love a good thriller.
🦇 2. The Mean Ones by Tatiana Schlote-Bonne
This book doesn't come out until September 30th of this year but the cover is so grasping. I am so thankful I was able to get an ARC of this book so I could add it to my Summerween TBR.
Is it paranoia, or is it her past from 17 years ago coming back when Sadie watched her friends get slaughtered from under the bed. Will she hide again, or this time face what's about to happen?
🔪 3. One of Us is Dead by Jeneva Rose
I needed a book that has been on my shelves for over a year, and while I have a few of them.. This one has always just pulled me in to want to read and now's the perfect chance.
🕯️ 4. Solo Leveling by Chungong
If you haven’t started watching this, then you need to start reading it. I was skeptical at first when my husband was insistent on me watching this Anime.. Now I can't stop thinking about it, and now I also want and NEED to read them all as well. So it fits perfectly with the prompts of having to read a Manga.

✔️ Read/ Listen to a spooky book in the dark
✔️ Watch at Halloween Town or Hocus Pocus
✔️ Light a fall scented candle and bake some fall treats

Listen this is something that can be really fun especially when you follow all the prompts Gabby provides. I know you only have a few weeks until it starts but go check out her merch for the readathon too. I grabbed a crewneck and a shirt, and I still have mine from a few years ago.
