My May Wrap-Up: What I Read, Loved & DNF'd
We’re a few days into June, and here I am—writing this at 11:33 PM—hoping I can write, edit, and hit publish before tomorrow to finally stick to my blog schedule. Fingers crossed!
Anyway—May is officially behind us, which means it's time for my May Reading Wrap-Up. I didn’t read a ton, but I managed to get through a couple of books, and thankfully… no DNFs this time around! Always a win in my book (pun absolutely intended).
💔 Bound by Hearts & Stone by Lauren Sanatra
Cozy, emotional, and totally addictive. This one gave me all the intense vibes. If you love golden retriever characters, secrets buried under layers of angst, and just enough romance to break your heart and mend it again—this book delivers. The world-building was rich, the tension was real, and I caught myself holding my breath more than once (because you know we all love that part). Highly recommend it if you're into Cozy fantasy romance.
Vibe: Enemies-to-something-more, forbidden ties, stone-cold intensity (literally).

💋 Kiss Me, Maybe by Gabriella Gamez
This was the cutest surprise. Light, flirty, and absolutely bingeable. It gave me that warm fuzzy rom-com feeling, with a side of sass and swoon. The chemistry between the leads? Chef’s kiss. It’s the kind of book you finish in one sitting with a goofy smile on your face—and immediately want a sequel for.
Vibe: Slow-burn kisses, accidental touches, and all the “will-they-won’t-they” tension.
Rating: ★★★★☆
So that’s a wrap on May! Not a huge reading month, but honestly? Quality > quantity, because if I’m not feeling it, I usually have zero hesitation about yeeting it into the "maybe later" pile.
Here’s hoping June brings more reads that hook me from page one—and just maybe a few five-star gems.
